It is a fact that protein intake (especially essential amino acids) is an important factor for linear growth in children under 2 - and hence prevention of stunting. There is a general recommendation of the amount of protein intake for body weight. However, for rural households, recommendations have to be more contextual to the practices. As the HHs do not have a fridge, they would buy their protein needs daily and consume on that same day. However, many times they cannot buy it daily. So, is the recommendation that a child 6-24 months has to eat a good source of protein every day, or is it ok if she eats it only some days a week?
