The CMAM Forum (see www.cmamforum.org) is seeking to recruit a group of consultants / individual consultants to author a series of three Technical Briefs on the subject of treatment and prevention of moderate acute malnutrition (MAM), looking at both nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive actions. The briefs will provide an overview of programmatic approaches in treating and preventing MAM, review current evidence and guidance, as well as highlighting key initiatives. The briefs will also highlight key constraints and major gaps in current evidence and guidance. Topics covered by the three briefs will include: (i) management of MAM, (ii) nutrition-specific approaches to preventing MAM, and (iii) nutrition-sensitive approaches to preventing MAM. Applications can be made as an individual for a specific brief, or as a group for the series of briefs. Individual applicants should expect to work closely with other consultants selected in order to ensure consistency and coherence in the scope and content across the series of briefs. Consultant profile: • Experienced nutritionist / Public Health specialist with expertise in the management of acute malnutrition (minimum 10 years) • Knowledge of key global initiatives and resources relating to moderate acute malnutrition • Proven involvement in review / meta-analysis of MAM-related programming • Minimum of 5 relevant publications in recognised journals • Fluent English essential and excellent working knowledge of French highly desirable.
