The Director, Nutrition in Emergencies will lead GAIN’s work to improve food and nutrition security in the emergency space. Reporting to GAIN’s Executive Director, you will build a new initiative at GAIN, identifying solutions for improving product formulation and food supply chains for cost effectiveness and increased impact. You will develop partnerships - with government, businesses, UN Agencies and NGOs - to improve policies and standards, support resilience of local markets, explore the use of market mechanisms and incentivize the development of new innovations, including technologies from the private sector. About you You are an entrepreneurial leader, experienced in engaging with key actors in humanitarian response (e.g. WFP, UNICEF) as well as platforms like the Global Nutrition Cluster. You have experience creating new programs as well as mobilizing resources and leveraging commitments from partners and donors. You’ll have already led programs in nutrition, relief and development work, much it in a humanitarian context. You’ll have experience building and managing a team of senior contributors, as well as supplier and partner relationships.
