I am interested in carrying out a research on cost-effectiveness of upscaled community management of acute malnutrition in Uganda. Would members share with me ideas, links or references to related studies.

thanks

Martha

Hi Martha,

At ACF we are working on a cost-effectiveness project. I have linked here two recent publications assessing cost-effectiveness of services to treat and prevent acute malnutrition.

Cost-effectiveness of the community-based management of severe acute malnutrition by community health workers in southern Bangladesh
http://heapol.oxfordjournals.org/content/early/2012/08/23/heapol.czs070.full.pdf+html

Protecting child health and nutrition status with ready-to-use food in addition to food assistance in urban Chad: a cost-effectiveness analysis

I hope this is useful for your research, let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Chloe
