We are looking for: A HEAD OF RESEARCH PROJECT - NIAP Nutritional Impact Assessment Project Based in Paris Project Description: As part of its strategy to prevent and treat undernutrition, ACF implements nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive interventions aimed at improving the nutritional status of populations. To better measure and understand the effects of these interventions, a large-scale project was initiated to develop methods, tools and appropriate practices and build capacity for routine assessment of nutritional impacts of our projects. ACF is currently for a Head of Research Project to complete the preparation stage of the project, to pave the ground for its funding and implementation. Based at the headquarters of the organization, under the supervision of the Nutrition security senior advisor, in close collaboration with the project team and the Research Department, the Head of PRoject will be responsible for: - Launch the project and implement preparatory steps: Update and finalize the literature review and monitoring and evaluation practices review. Develop and finalize the first version of practical guide, toolkit and training materials for the pilot phase. Sensitize and consult with headquarters and field teams, launch the internal call for expression of interest and pre-identify pilot projects/fields. Launch the first pilot study. - Build project governance and animate each instance: Set operating and communication modalities, establish partnership documents, prepare meeting agendas and reports. - Develop research protocol: Develop and write detailed research protocol (including logical framework / theory of change, detailed budget, organizational structure, job descriptions and planning for the implementation phase of project) in collaboration with the working group and the experts group. Prepare communication tools on the project and communicate internally. - Develop the funding plan and seek funding for the implementation of the project. Qualification and previous experience: Master level in Public Health, Nutrition, Socio-economics or international development. Minimum 5 years professional experience, including at least 2 years in monitoring and evaluation of projects, preferably in humanitarian context. Experience in project management, formulation of project proposals and production of guides and/or methodological tools. Experience in conducting applied research projects is a plus. Good knowledge in nutrition, public health and epidemiology. You are recognized for your great analysis and synthesis capabilities. Organized and autonomus. Good communication skills and capacities to work in a multidisciplinary team. Fluency in English, both written and oral, required. Good command of French desirable.
