We are looking for: A NUTRITION AND HEALTH MONITORING AND EVALUATION PROGRAM MANAGER Country: Afghanistan, based in Kabul with regular field visit possibly all over Afghanistan Length of Contract: 12 months starting from the 1st of July 2014 General objective: Under the supervision of the Head of Nutrition and Health Department, you will be responsible to ensure the development, implementation and follow up of the Health and Nutrition Monitoring and Evaluation project in Afghanistan. Responsibilities: More precisely, you will be in charge to: • Manage the overall coordination and partnership development in link with the project • Lead the National Assessment Working Group (AWG) chair by Public Nutrition Department of Ministry of Public Health • Conduct SMART surveys or Rapid Nutrition Assessment in partnership with nutrition and health activity implementers • Manage the program team • Manage logistics and financial resources of the project Qualification and previous experience: You have at least 2 years in humanitarian sector, management of nutrition projects, and management and evaluation of nutrition and health assessments. You have strong knowledge and a first experience in monitoring and evaluation including nutrition and health assessments and surveys (SMART, SQUEAC). You have a first successful experience in partnership management and in humanitarian coordination (UN cluster) Excellent communication, sense of diplomacy and negotiation skills compulsory. Ability to work in a highly sensitive environment. Fully Fluent in English. Status: Volunteer status (VSI) for applicants: - with less than 5 years of work experiences and less than 12 months of humanitarian experience in expatriation with NGO - or with more than 5 years of work experiences but less than 10 years of work experiences and less than 6 months of humanitarian experience in expatriation with NGO: - Fixed-term contract of 1 year, renewable - All expenses paid on the field: o Support to the R & R costs : 110€/month average o Transportation costs to and from the mission : 460€/ month average, o Collective or individual accommodation depending on position : 700€/month average o Food and hygiene expenses (living allowance) : 254€ /month directly paid on the field o Per Diem : 161€ /month directly paid on the field - €838 of indemnities per month on your bank account - Social benefits: Medical, life and accident insurance provided by the institution - Acquisition of 2.5 days of paid leaves per entirely worked month - Recovery time breaks of one week every 2 or 4 months depending on the mission + break allowances - Pre departure training, at the HQ in Paris Salaried status for applicant with the profile required: Total average yearly gross income: from 42245€ to 47120€ - All expenses paid on the field: o Support to the R & R costs : 110€/month average o Transportation costs to and from the mission : 460€/ month average, o Collective or individual accommodation depending on position : 700€/month average o Food and hygiene expenses (living allowance) : 254€ /month directly paid on the field o Per Diem : 161€ /month directly paid on the field - Gross monthly salary ranging from €1600 to €1975 (13rd month included), depending on relevant experience - Social benefits: Medical, life and accident insurance provided by the institution - 25 days of annual paid leaves - 20 days of extra leaves per year (taken as recovery time breaks of one week every 2 or 4 months depending on the mission) + break allowances - Pre departure training, at the HQ in Paris Motivating Job Prospects in the medium and long term To apply, please visit our website: http://www.actioncontrelafaim.org/en/content/nutrition-and-health-monitoring-and-evaluation-program-manager-hf
