Are diarrheal diseases common in the communities where there is nutritional intervention?

I notice that OTP patients under RUTF treatment very rarely transferred out to stabilization centers due to severe diarrhea. I think the main cause for this is the Zinc contained in the RUTF sachets taken by the child. I know the child develops mild diarrehea after the first RUTF dose.. but this is normal,the so called refeeding diarrhea.
