Hi Samuel, your question is very important, I am wondering too :). We all know nothing is clear about coronavirus and its cure. As we know that the severity of corona-virus infection depends on the immune system, we know it’s a complex network of cells and protein that defends the body against the diseases.

There are certain factors, which weaken the immune system, one of the main reason is poor diet or wrong selection of food. I think it's become mandatory now to take a "Balanced diet" along with other precautions. People are not taking it seriously, they are looking for shortcuts like energy boosting drinks etc. etc. I think the diet should be prescribed by a dietitian / nutritionist according to their financial position. Prescribing the diet appears to be very strange but it’s important, otherwise many people will not take it seriously. It is as important as social distancing and washing hands. We need to improve our health in quarantine or isolation situation by taking a balanced diet along with 30-40 minute workout.

Your question is valid as diet is something next to medicine in any medical condition while no concerete remedy has been suggested for the Covid 19 uptill now then diet should be the first weapon for the cure.
However, a research or observational study is a dire need to establish a diet protocol for the infected corona virus patient to get successful result.
Umbreen you are right its high time to recognize the use of Balanced Diet to get our immune system strong and healthy by adding all nutrients in our diet as prescribed by the nutritionist/ dietitian not only at this time of pandemic but even before any pandemic occurs.
