Dear colleagues,

Save the Children is updating their 5 day IYCF-E Curriculum. We have added a new session on PREVENTING AND HANDLING INAPPROPRIATE AND HARMFUL DONATIONS IN EMERGENCIES.

We are looking for real life examples / case studies of instances where donations were successfully prevented and/or effectively intercepted and handled during an emergency (e.g. through successful advocacy and communication, preparedness planning, logistics/customs controls etc.)

We would love to hear from you what worked well and what made the approach so successful.

Please share your experiences with us to help us bring the theory to life!

Isabelle

Ps. For those seeking guidance on this topic, please take a look at this infographic recently published by the IFE Core Group: https://www.ennonline.net/attachments/4040/IFE-CG_Infographic-2_Preventing-and-Managing-Inappropriate-Donations.pdf
