ENN/UNICEF Webinar on Wednesday 17th September: Preconception nutrition for women and adolescent girls in undernourished contexts.

The Emergency Nutrition Network, in partnership with UNICEF, will soon be publishing a new report on preconception nutrition.

Please join us for the launch webinar on Wednesday 17th September at 08:00 EDT / 12:00 GMT / 17:30 IST

We define preconception as the time before pregnancy, which includes all non-pregnant women and adolescent girls of reproductive age (15–49 years) regardless of their marital status or plans for pregnancy. This report reviews current evidence and global guidelines related to preconception nutrition interventions, with a focus on undernourished populations. It also highlights examples of how preconception nutrition has been integrated into international and regional programme guidance, national policies, programming, and health systems.

In this webinar, we will provide an overview of the content of the report and hear from government representatives from Sri Lanka and UNICEF colleagues working on preconception nutrition interventions in South Asia.
