Dr. Sohair Shommo is an accomplished academic and nutritionist currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Nutrition and Dietetics at Hail University. With extensive experience in the field of education, she has been an integral member of the Family Science Department and has participated in various committees at the University of Khartoum, where she has held the position of Associate Professor since 2015.

Her expertise extends to nutrition policy and community health, as evidenced by her involvement in the National Committee for the Food Systems Summit and her role as a consultant for the BSc and Master programs of Clinical Nutrition at several universities. Sohair is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the Sudanese Society of Dietitians and Clinical Nutritionists and the Saudi Society for Food and Nutrition.
